Ground Transportation

Connecting to Denver and Fort Collins:

  • It is 20 miles from Denver International Airport (DIA) to the National Western Stock Show (NWSS) in Denver, the departure point for the January 11 meat industry tours.
  • It is 60 miles from the NWSS to the Hilton Hotel on Prospect Avenue in Fort Collins, which is adjacent to Colorado State University (CSU). It is 70 miles from DIA to the Hilton. The educational programs on January 12 will be held on the CSU Campus in Fort Collins.

Options:

  • Uber: An Uber X ride from the NWSS complex to Fort Collins is around $80. 
  • Bustang: The North Line travels between Union Station in Denver to the Fort Collins Transit Center. There is a free shuttle between NWSS and Union Station. The Max, a local Fort Collins bus line, travels from the Fort Collins Transit Center to the Prospect Station, which is a 6-minute walk from the hotel. A one-way adult fare is $10.00 at https://ridebustang.com/bustang/ from Denver to Fort Collins and will take approximately 90 minutes.
  • Groome: A small transportation company that offers an easy, convenient and cost-effective option to travel between Denver and the south Fort Collins Transfer Center at Harmony Road and I-25. They also offer home/hotel pick-up. From $40 one-way, https://groometransportation.com/fort-collins-loveland/. There is a connecting bus from the Harmony Transfer Center to the CSU Campus.
  • Getting around Denver: the Regional Transportation District (RTD) offers bus and rail lines that travel within the city and connect to the greater metro area, including DIA. For schedules, fares and services, see https://www.rtd-denver.com/.
  • Getting around Fort Collins: the MAX Bus Rapid Transit is a Fort Collins-based bus system that serves major activity and employment centers throughout the city, including Midtown, CSU and Downtown. MAX links with other Transfort bus routes, Park-n-Rides, the City’s bicycle/pedestrian trail system, and other local and regional transit routes to provide seamless service for passengers.
